What a 1 minute timer is good for
A minute is long enough to be useful and short enough that nobody argues with it. It is the standard unit for holds and intervals — a plank, a wall sit, a round of skipping — and for the kind of pause that stops a decision being made in anger.
- Plank or wall sit
- A single HIIT interval
- Box breathing (four rounds)
- Resting between heavy sets
The alarm is a gong generated in your browser, so it works with the sound on and no connection. For work/break cycles with ambient sound, use the Focus timer; to count down to a date instead of a duration, use Countdowns.
